Walker School - Parents PTA Event - July 2009

Dear Akile and Paul

Many thanks for an amazing 'Latin Night' last Saturday at Walker school. On the Sunday people were texting me saying they had a fantastic time and asking me when the next event was going to be. Word got around fast how good it was and at the school gate on Monday morning people who couldn't make it last time were saying they wanted tickets for the next Latin night I organise.

I don't normally enjoy events which I organise myself but I found that I had a great time because I could see that everyone else was thoroughly enjoying it so I could relax and enjoy it too. One of the mums had told me explicitly that her husband would not be dancing and would be behind the bar all night, as it turned out he barely left the dance floor all evening. Another dad who came along somewhat reluctantly was insisting on the next day that him and his wife practice the dances so that they don't forget them. The night was a great success and this was largely due to Akile and Paul, you make a great team.

So thanks again and have a great summer and it looks like I'll be in touch soon about arranging the next 'Latin night'.

St Pauls School - Parents PTA Event - May 2009

Thank you all very much for your hard work on Saturday at St Pauls School, I almost forgot we were in a school hall ! It was a fun evening with atmosphere and feedback at the school gates has been great !

St Johns End of Year Party - July 2008

Hi Paul,

Just wanted to say a BIG thank you for Friday night. It was perfect and all the kids had a fantastic time. It is something they wont forget in a hurry and just what we wanted in the way of a send off for them all going onto secondary school.

Also please say thank you to Adi who was amazing and also to Axe for all her hard work organising the event in the beginning. Hope to be in contact again soon

Styling Workshop - February 2008

I just wanted to say thanks for your salsa classes at the Fox as you probably don't get enough thanks for what you do. They have made Thursday night the best night of the week and have helped to make me feel more confident. Joane Beard

Just a quick note to say thanks so much for a great class last night. My partner and I came to your class for the first time having never done salsa before and you were all really friendly, professional and great teachers. We have recently had a baby and don't get out much so we thought we'd give salsa a try and we both had a fab time! If we can get a babysitter :) we will definitely be back next week!

I started salsa after being dragged (unwillingly) by a friend 9 months ago and have not looked back since. The lessons are tailored to suit everyone, both fast and slow learners alike and Akile and Paul make everyone feel comfortable enough to ask for extra help if its needed. The classes are lively and fun, and a fantistic way to exersice and socialise. I've met people I probably would have never met, salsa has become my social life- I now go to different classes at least twice a week. It's also been a great confidence booster, its amazing when you see the progress you make in a few months and how good you feel as a result. I'd reccommend salsa to anyone, all it takes is a few lessons and you're hooked! Thanks Aks&Paul! Dem x

I have always enjoyed dancing and admired those who could take on a form with discipline while still maintaining an individual style. However, I never really had the confidence or partners that I could join "a salsa night" with. When I walked in to the one of your classes December last year, my whole perception changed and I was hooked! The warmth, energy and enthusiasm that greeted me enabled me to feel comfortable and confident to go to classes alone and meet fantastic new people with a passion the same as my own. I was able to join the beginners and move in to the intermediate classes at my own pace providing me with a suitable level of challenge in an atmosphere that I felt comfortable in. Now I have begun my journey in finding my own style, which was mainly fuelled by your styling workshops.
I have been to a range of classes and clubs and can dance with a variety of dancers confidently. Having said that, no class or set of teachers are yet to provide the same level of chemistry and personality that you guys have shown! Thanks for that! Love Tasha xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

It was only 3 months ago (Nov05) that I found the courage the join a Salsa class, despite enjoying
listening to the music for years. I have to say if I had known then how welcoming and fun the classes would have been, I definitely would not have waited so long. The teaching method is confident and lively and the venue is stylish and easy to get to. It's amazing to see how much you can learn in a matter of weeks let alone months.
The music played is the best! Paul Es. Definitely knows how to keep the atmosphere on a high and people just keep on dancing. The class structure is fast paced, lots of fun and encourages you to meet new people. A great way to make friends!
I would definitely recommend everyone including those who are apprehensive, to make a trip to Charlie Browns on Thursday night. Once there, you really will be questioning why you let yourself miss out on so much fun for so long!!

I started salsa with Akile and Paul at 'The Hill' in the summer of 2005, never thinking I would get in to it.
Not even a couple of weeks in, it seemed to get easier and I found myself picking things up quicker and quicker. Surprisingly, I now try and go dancing at least two to three times a week.
The classes as put on by Paul and Akile are excellent. They know exactly how to ensure that everyone
has a laugh and a great time. They are funny, informative, have lots of experience and are just genuinely very nice people.
You meet people from all walks of life at Salsa. There is a really nice feel to the class and club and its very easy to make new friends. I have made at least 20 friends since joining.
There is no pressure at the Latin Vibes nights, you can do as much or as little as you like. I haven't had so much fun in ages. I would definitely recommend anyone to come and give it a try. You wont regret it and will get hooked like I did. Peter P
